“For God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases him.” Philippians 2:13 NLT
Have you ever experienced a dry time in your relationship with God? A time when He seems like He’s is a million miles away? But here’s the deal-- He’s not. He is always with us, whether we feel it or not, He is there, and more than just being there, He is at work in us. Because He loves us and cares more deeply about us than we’ll ever really understand until we get to heaven.
We are often clueless when God is doing a big work on the inside of us. He always knows what we need, when we need it, even if we don’t. Sometimes it’s an issue of pride and He gently begins to show us the importance of staying humble. Or maybe it’s selfishness and He begins to allow us to see just how ugly being selfish really is. Maybe it’s an anger issue, and He begins to show you where that root of anger got it’s start in you. Maybe it’s something as simple as being in doubt about your future and He begins to show you that with Him all things are possible.
Whatever you’re going through, know that God is always working in us, with us, and for us.
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans 8:28 NLT
If you feel like your back’s against the wall, and hope is lost, don’t quit because God is at work behind the scene. He’s working on your behalf and turning your test into a testimony of His goodness and His grace. You can be assured that He is causing everything to work together for your good. So be encouraged because God is working in you!
Prayer: “Father, I believe that You are doing a great work in me, helping me to become all that You’ve called me to be. Thank You for working in me, with me, and for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!”
