"Don't you see that children are GOD's best gift? The fruit of the womb His generous legacy? Like a warrior's fistful of arrows are the children of a vigorous youth. Oh, how blessed are you parents, with your quivers full of children! Your enemies don't stand a chance against you; you'll sweep them right off your doorstep." Psalm 127:3-5, Message

Children are a blessing! That's a good thing to remember when you've had a crazy day with preschoolers or a rough week with hormonal teenagers or a heartbreaking season with a wayward child. Never forget – children are a blessing from the Lord and He loves them more than we do!
No matter what tactics the enemy tries to throw against your family – remember, Satan is defeated and you, your spouse and your kids belong to the Lord. As you stand strong in your walk with the Lord, He will give you the wisdom and strength you need to keep your family in a good place in God; not only that, He will go to work in their hearts doing all kinds of unseen work. God wants your family to be blessed!
As parents, in addition to providing love, nurture, protection, guidance and training in the Word to our kids, the best and most important thing we can do for our kids and families is to pray!
God's will is revealed in His Word; so, if you see a blessing, promise or specific instruction given in the Bible for children or families – you can take that Scripture to prayer and ask the Lord to do it for you, your kids and family.
Psalm 112 is a great place to start. You can pray this Psalm right into your kids and family.
"Happy are those who fear the LORD. Yes, happy are those who delight in doing what He commands. Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed. They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will never be forgotten. When darkness overtakes the godly, light will come bursting in. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous. All goes well for those who are generous, who lend freely and conduct their business fairly. Such people will not be overcome by evil circumstances. Those who are righteous will be long remembered. They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the LORD to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly. They give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will never be forgotten. They will have influence and honor. The wicked will be infuriated when they see this. They will grind their teeth in anger; they will slink away, their hopes thwarted." (Psalm 112, NLT)
Pray this Psalm by faith even if at the moment it may not look like it's true. Here's how…

Prayer: “Father, I thank You that we have a happy and blessed family because we fear You and delight in doing Your will and command. I declare that my children (name them) _____________ will be successful everywhere they go; they will be part of an entire generation of godly people. They will surround themselves with good, godly friends. I thank You that our family is wealthy and known for good deeds. When darkness tries to come around, I am so glad to know that Your light will burst in and dispel the darkness. I thank You that we are a generous family who operate in integrity and everything will go well for us. We don't live in fear; our trust is in You. We know that You care for us. Lord, I thank You that we have courage, faith and boldness to stand up for what is right. We are a family of influence to give You honor. No weapon formed against us can prosper and every tongue that rises in judgment against us, You condemn. My family is blessed to be a blessing. I declare it, in Jesus' Name, Amen.”
