It's Worth It

Beth Jones

"God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them." Hebrews 6:10, NIV

If you've been helping others, serving the Lord, working hard and being busy about the Father's business—God will not forget! He will reward you. Don't be discouraged.

If you wonder if it's worth it—it is. If you wonder if you can continue—you can. If you want to quit—don't. If you're tired and down—look up. If you need a break—take one. If you wonder if God even cares—He does.

For those who serve in "thankless" jobs, the Lord will not forget your work and the love you have shown.

For those who serve on the mission field, the Lord will not forget your sacrifice and tireless service.

For those who serve in behind-the-scenes "helps" roles, the Lord will not forget your hard work, early mornings and late nights.

For those who serve in the trenches of this world's hardest, darkest and most difficult places, the Lord will not forget the way you are helping Him heal broken hearts and set the captives free.

For those who serve the Lord night and day in spite of opposition and criticism, the Lord will not forget the way you have represented Him.

Hang in there, it's worth it. Continue to look to Jesus, exercise faith and patience and you will inherit the promises of God. He will surely bless your faithfulness!

"We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. When God made His promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for Him to swear by, He swore by Himself, saying, 'I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.' And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised." (Hebrews 6:11-15, NIV)

Review those words from the Lord: I will surely bless you! After waiting patiently Abraham received what was promised. Be encouraged, this is true for you, too.

Say It: "Father, by faith I choose to believe Your Word. You are not unjust and You won't forget my work and the love I have shown You by helping others. I believe it's all been worth it. You keep good records. I declare Your Word over my life today: 'You will surely bless me. I will wait patiently and I will receive the things You have promised me.' In Jesus' Name. Amen."
