“Everyone who makes a practice of doing evil, addicted to denial and illusion, hates God-light and won’t come near it, fearing a painful exposure. But anyone working and living in truth and reality welcomes God-light so the work can be seen for the God-work it is.” John 3:20-21, MSG
Light does two very powerful things.
First, it illuminates things for you. You can see the step ahead of you, so that you can walk without tripping. You can look in the mirror and see that you have spinach stuck in your teeth. Light is super helpful in your everyday life -- am I right? God-light is even more potent -- it can illuminate things happening inside of you, around you or in your future. Powerful stuff indeed!
And secondly, light illuminates you, for others to see. If you and several others are in a room when all the lights go out, chances are you’ll bump into each other. But, turn the lights back on, and others can clearly see where you’re standing. Beyond how useful this is in the natural, think about the God-light that shines from inside of you as a Christian. Others need to see it! Let that light shine -- let everyone around you see that there is hope, peace and joy glowing from inside of you -- and that it comes from Christ!
Wouldn’t you agree that this whole world needs more light?...Today, let God-light help both illuminate your day and your steps, but then also be sure to turn up the wattage on the God-light shining from within you -- and let’s draw this whole world to Jesus!!
Say This: “Father, thank You that things in the natural help me understand things in the supernatural. Thank You that Your God-light shows me the best next step, things I need to know, and more. And, help the God-light in me shine to a brighter-and-brighter level so that others will be drawn to You! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”
