Be Still

Beth Jones

"Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth!" Psalm 46:10, AMPC

It’s the beginning of a new week - and it's likely we all have a huge checklist of things to do! But, in the midst of all the busyness of life, perhaps this is a good time to: be still.

While there may be some things you can't or shouldn't take off your checklist—what things can you remove? What would give you more margin? What would be your "less is more?" What changes to your schedule would allow your heart to be still and know that He is God?

I am on the lookout for ways to simplify my life, to free up heart-hard-drive space, to be still and know, recognize and understand that He is God. How about you? Does the idea of being still and knowing Him bring joy to your soul?

This week, may you make whatever heart or habit changes are necessary to do just that.

Say It: "Father, this week (and for the rest of my life) help me to make whatever adjustments I need to make to 'be still and know that You are God.' In Jesus' Name. Amen."
