“...the joy of the Lord is your strength!” Nehemiah 8:10

You know that feeling when you laugh so hard that your abs hurt? A true belly laugh can feel like the best ab workout ever. And - it’s so much more fun than lying on the floor doing a million crunches or bicycle kicks! 

“Real” exercise is obviously important to keep our bodies strong and healthy - but sometimes, when you can’t squeeze in a run or make it to jazzercise class, a good substitute is a hearty laugh. 

The Bible says in Proverbs 17:22, “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person's strength” (NIV). 

Don’t let your strength be sapped - be intentional this weekend about getting around someone or something that brings cheer to your heart and makes you belly laugh!
