“Research shows that the average couple spends about 4 minutes a day talking at a deep heart level. So, simple, daily decisions can make the biggest difference in building a strong marriage.” - Erin Smalley
In today’s podcast, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Dr. Greg and Erin Smalley from Focus on the Family. You’ve likely heard of the huge impact that Focus on the Family has around the globe in their mission to help families thrive. But, if you don’t know Dr. Greg and Erin yet, you may recognize the name of the late Dr. Gary Smalley - a well-known marriage counselor and author of many bestselling books...who also happened to be Dr. Greg’s father.
As you can imagine, Dr. Greg developed his passion for helping marriages and families flourish through attending many of his dad’s conferences and speaking engagements throughout his life. Now together, the Smalleys lead the Marriage and Family Formation arm of Focus on the Family...so that’s exactly what our conversation is all about today - marriage and families!
In our chat, you’ll get to hear a few nuggets of wisdom from the Smalleys that they’ve shared throughout their 25 years of marriage to help thousands of couples around the globe. Seriously. They are the real deal, people.
We were so honored to have them share their Biblically-based insight into healthy marriages and families with our congregation at Valley Family Church - and I’m just as excited to have you hear from them today!
Plus - they share some amazing (and some free!) resources from Focus on the Family near the end of the podcast that you can take advantage of for your own marriage or family.
Enjoy! And feel free to share the podcast with people in your world who might need this great information.
