Your Destiny is in The House

"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men's hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end." Ecclesiastes 3:11, AMP
God has a divine purpose for each one of us. Some people call it our destiny or our calling – our reason for being on the planet. This divinely implanted sense of purpose resides in every person and at some point in our lives, we all ask these well-known rhetorical questions, “What’s my purpose?” “Why am I here?”
Thankfully, God has answers for those questions. He’s the one that gave us our purpose. He knows why we are here! He also knows that nothing under the sun will ever satisfy us until we connect with our divine purpose.
So how do we do it? You will connect with your divine purpose when you connect with Jesus and His priority – the Church. Jesus is the Head of the Church and we are the Body. Jesus loves the Church. He is building His Church. There is no way to follow Jesus and fulfill His destiny for your life without being connected to His Body – the Church. It’s not possible. Have you ever seen an effective person whose head was separated from their body? We are members of the Body of Christ and He is the Head – we are connected. Our purpose will be realized when it is expressed in and through the Body, the Church.
The Psalmist understood something about this: “Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are those who dwell in Your house and Your presence; they will be singing Your praises all the day long. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!” (Palm 84:4, AMP)
Those who dwell in the Lord’s house and His presence are blessed indeed! They are happy, fortunate and to be envied – why? They have touched their divine purpose. At some level, they have committed themselves to the Lord and His Church; their God-given gifts have been discovered, recognized and utilized in the House and it's making a difference in the lives of others. As a result, they are gratified, fulfilled and singing His praises!
So, have you collided with your purpose? The best way to start is by connecting with your local church. Be led by the Lord to the church He has for you. Go in with a humble heart, willing to serve the purpose of that House in whatever capacities are needed. (Maybe you’ll start off cleaning bathrooms, directing traffic, serving kids, organizing outreach events, making coffee; maybe you'll be asked to sit on the Board, feed the homeless, teach a small group, lead a disaster relief trip or serve wherever the needs may be – just get started.) Trust God to help you discover and utilize your God-given gifts. Expect your life to flourish as you connect with your divinely implanted purpose.
“Those who are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.” (Psalm 92:13, NKJV)
Say This: “Father, I want to fulfill the divinely implanted sense of purpose You have for my life. I believe Jesus is the Head and I am a member of Your Body – the Church. I know that I will collide with my purpose as I serve Your House. I thank You that as I connect with your local church – You will orchestrate open doors, connections or opportunities for my God-given gifts and divine purpose to flourish. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”
