BE A SPARK PLUG!

Jennifer Cole

"…your zeal has stirred up most of them." 2 Corinthians 9:2, ESV

Did you know that you could be a spark plug for others? Your zeal -- passion and excitement -- can be a catalyst that stirs people up. Zeal is contagious!

When we are passionate, fervent, pumped, excited, moved and zealous for godly things -- it ignites others.

What are you zealous for when it comes to the things of God? Don’t bottle that zeal up! Don’t suppress it. Don’t be neutral. Don’t be lukewarm. In Romans we read: “Be enthusiastic to serve the Lord, keeping your passion toward him boiling hot! Radiate with the glow of the Holy Spirit and let him fill you with excitement as you serve him.” (Romans 12:11, TPT)

>> Don’t quench the excitement -- let it out! Let your zeal for the Lord be a spark plug to inspire others around you.

What would happen if today, you:

Work with zeal…and set a contagious atmosphere of joy in the workplace?

Love with zeal…and set off a chain-reaction of encouragement, forgiveness and acceptance?

Read God’s Word with zeal…and let others see the transformation taking place in all areas of your life, through the power of the Bible?

Share the gospel with zeal…and get passionate about not letting anyone miss out on Heaven?

Be zealous for His Church…and set the pace for being involved, engaged and passionate about helping your local church reach your whole community?

There’s never been a better time to cast aside being neutral or lukewarm! You have the Spirit of God living inside you, and you have incredible blessings, peace that passes understanding, boundless love and unconditional forgiveness -- you have the whole package!

So today, put some logs on that fire and let your passion for all God has done in your life burn so brightly inside of you that your zeal becomes contagious to everyone around you!

Say This: “Father, today I throw off the temptation to be laid-back and lukewarm about the Truth that I know and the amazing reality that I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ! I am passionate, pumped up, excited and zealous for the Lord and His Church! I pray that You use me to be the type of person who is a spark plug and a catalyst for things that matter to You -- for all those around me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”
