Have you ever known a person who just seems to be “unsinkable?” Someone with true-blue faith, who seems to walk above the waves in a stormy season, who seems to rebound no matter what the setback, who seems calm, cool and collected despite the drama happening around them?

>>I would guess they have a DEEP WELL.

If you’re craving that kind of life for yourself -- get a deep well! A deep well comes from spending time with the Lord, meditating upon His Word, seeking Him in prayer, resting in His love, listening to His voice, trusting His guidance, following His prompts, serving His cause, and loving what He loves.

When you have a deep well, He continually fills you with rivers of living water that refresh you while you refresh others. So no matter what life throws at you or what situations are “draining” your water -- when you have rivers of His water pouring in, you never run out! And, you have an abundance that will help refresh others too.

We see Jesus mention these rivers of living water in John 7:37-38: “On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’’”

Ask the Lord today to help you deepen your well –- and then bust out that Bible, get to praying, follow His lead -- and get those living waters flowing!

Say This: “Father, thank You for rivers of living water! Help me to deepen my well, so I can do well in life no matter the circumstances. May I be refreshed in You and also help refresh others. Thank You that You guide me, fill me, lead me and love me! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

Sometimes those who have faithfully served the Lord for years and years can start to feel invisible. Start to feel like their contributions just don’t matter or aren’t seen. You may be discouraged, thinking all of your serving and faithfulness aren’t noticed by anyone, not even by the Lord. Friends, if that’s you today -- let me encourage you that God DOES see you and He keeps great records of your faithfulness!

Mark 9:41 assures us, “The truth of the matter is this: anyone who gives you a cup of cool water to drink because you carry the name of your Anointed One will be rewarded” (The Voice translation). If such a basic deed as providing a cup of water is noticed and rewarded, we can be assured that all acts of serving and kindness -- in His name -- are noticed too! Now, for sure the motivation of all of this serving is purely to share God’s love to others, but it’s a nice perk to know that the faithfulness is noticed!

>>God sees you, He’s proud of you, He notices!

God sees you putting His Kingdom first, and He is faithful to take care of you. Just like we see in Matthew 6:33 NLT: “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”

So whatever you do, DON’T STOP! Keep serving and loving others. Keep investing in eternity. Keep serving in children’s church, stuffing envelopes, sweeping floors, answering phones, being a prayer warrior, rallying groups of volunteers, bringing your supply to grow the Church...every bit of that is recorded and has eternal worth!

Say This: “Father, thank You that You have filled my heart with Your love and from that supply, I have been faithful to serve and love others. Thank You, Lord, that You notice me. You see me. You are recording my faithfulness and I choose to keep investing in things of eternal value. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

Feeling run over, under-appreciated, overlooked, tired of trying? Are you thinking about quitting? Before you do, think about this...

>>Maybe you are exactly where you’re meant to be.

Perhaps every step in your path has worked to position you right where you are, for such a time as this. Just like Esther, who found herself in the right place at the right time to help save many people’s lives, “...who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14 NKJV).

There is something that needs to be done and people who need to be helped, encouraged or led...and maybe that’s exactly why you are where you are -- to have that impact! You can do this! If not you, then who? Keep going, don’t are here for such a time as this.

Say This: “Father, thank You that You work all things together for my good. I believe You’re positioning me to make a difference and that You will equip me for such a time as this. Help me to rest in You, and please fill my sails with fresh new wind. Help me to keep going and not quit! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

Let’s face it...when most people hear the term “stretch marks” they think it’s a bad thing! But I think the ones we get in our soul and spirit as we grow and mature aren’t bad things -- they’re desirable and are a badge of honor!

We’ve all been there...been in seasons where you think if one more meeting is added, one more responsibility, one more crisis or call about family drama, one more anything -- you’re just going to burst. But then...what do you don’t in fact burst. You do get through that season and that situation. Yes, you may have earned some stretch marks from being stretched in ways you never have before...but YOU DIDN’T BREAK. You made it through. And you’re stronger for it!

>>Thank the Lord that He made us with the ability to stretch!

Stretching is uncomfortable, no doubt about it. But it’s essential if we want to do more, help more, grow more, impact more and live out the kind of faith adventure life that God has in store for each of us. Yes, we will each face challenges and trials throughout life on earth but as we draw near to the Lord and grow in our faith, we will overcome those challenges and have the beautiful faith stretch marks as badges of honor!

Be encouraged by this reminder to keep stretching and not give up -- in James 1:3-4 MSG, we read: “You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.”

Praying for you today, my basics friends, that you will stretch gracefully and come out stronger on the other side of whatever trial or challenge you’re facing. With God on your side, You. Can. Do. This!

Say This: “Father, thank You that You help me to stretch and not break, as I cling to You through the trials and challenges I am facing. Thank You that You will help me through every difficult season, and I will emerge stronger on the other side of it. Lord, I want to grow in my faith and be stretched, so that I will become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

Friends, you are more important than you know. God knew what He was doing when He called you! Don’t get sidetracked. Follow His call. Your life has a purpose...and God’s plan for you includes bearing fruit that remains...for all eternity!

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain…” John 15:16 NKJV

So, keep going, don’t quit, stay a million years from now you and many others will be so glad you followed His call.

>>After all -- somebody, somewhere is depending on you to do what God has called you to do.

YOU are graced and equipped for the calling on your life -- YOU can do this! Through Christ, you are well-positioned and well able to carry out your divinely implanted purpose on this earth. You are making a difference! Eternity will tell stories of how your obedience to the Lord made an eternal difference in the lives of others.

Say This: “Father, thank You that You’ve put within me a divinely implanted purpose for my life. Help me to live out my calling, staying right in the center of Your will, and help me to invest my life into making an eternal difference. Thank You for grace, equipping, appointing and anointing. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”
